On La Ode’Vij Island men are raped brutally by women. In many cases, iron rods have been inserted into the anus. The penises of many men are cut after being raped.

Most criminal women don't get punished because the judiciary system is too slow and too complicated. And there is also corruption in the judiciary system.

Rapes mostly happen in the densely populated places of the Island. But the fear is spread all over the island.

Now imagine you are a man and went on holiday to that island. You were with your friends but you were lost at night.

While heading towards your stay, you find five women on the corner of the street. They are stronger than you. They stare at your penis. They pass lewd comments on you. You walk fast. They follow you.

How will you feel at that time?

UNSAFE. You will want to escape from that situation as soon as possible and avoid being raped.

That's what girls feel in India when they are alone. And at every other place where many rape cases are reported.

Rapists don't have any tags over their heads. A rapist can be her best friend or her classmate or her neighbour or that rickshaw driver. Or someone unknown.

That's why they feel unsafe. And the fear is real.

There is no such island. It's a combination of the initials of my name Odedra Vijay. I made up all of that to build up a plot to explain why girls feel unsafe.
