I am not a psychiatrist, but I have learned to control my thoughts and emotions. This is not a scientifically proven method, but a simple trick that has helped me a lot to control my mind.

We are preparing fields to sow groundnuts. Because of that every day I have to wake up at around 5.30 am or so and work till 8 pm or 9 pm.

My mind, being a well-wisher of mine, every night tells me, “Ohhh shit! Tomorrow you have to work under the sun, the whole day. That's so difficult and tiring.” My mind is right because I have been feeding it with this perception, that working on farms is very difficult since I was a child.

But, how do I fool it? So that the next day it doesn't bombard me with this thought and make me unhappy and tired when I will be working.

I tricked my mind by feeding it with the thought that I'm unemployed, I have two children and a wife to feed and I'm damn lucky that I got some work which will bring some money.

That idiot stopped worrying about the next day, the moment I told it that. And it doesn't bother me with those stupid thoughts of unhappiness anymore.

Our mind works on the information we feed it.

If you keep telling it that your job sucks, it will keep you reminding that again and again and will make you irritated. If you keep telling it that Vijay makes me angry, it will make you angry every time it comes across that name.

If you keep telling it that the absence of your ex makes you sad, it will make you sad every moment. Instead of that tell your mind that you are so fucking happy that your ex left you. If you keep telling your mind that that particular behaviour of someone makes you very angry, it will make you angry.

This is not at all a difficult achievement. It is simple. You just have to consider your mind another stupid person and talk to it rationally and logically.
