Kunal is one of the smartest men who understand the psychology of the masses very well. He is one of the smartest businessmen who sell content very wisely.

Most of the time, people don't understand what’s happening behind the scenes.

Kunal Kamra is not a foolish man. Neither does he hate Narendra Modi nor right-wingers from the bottom of his heart, I assume. He just creates content that would give him millions of views and thus money. He is ready to take all the bashing, and that's okay, for all the money he makes while doing so.

If you observe carefully, mostly he is on the opposite side of the mainstream, thus catering a very specific content for a specific type of audience.

YouTube doesn't recognize whether you hate him or loved him while watching the video. All that matters is the number of views and he is getting it in millions by doing so. This way he earns a lot of money, out of the anger of his haters. He indeed is a smart man after all.
